Le STRIE^® farm is a small winery in the Valtellina (Sondrio, Italy).

We vinify only the grapes grown in our own vineyards and bottle the wine directly.
Up until 2002 we sold our grapes to local buyers. However, in 2002 we decided to set up our own winery. We had renovated an ancient cellar and bought all the necessary enological equipment in order to produce fine wines.

Our vineyards, which are about 10.000 square metres wide, are located inside the Valtellina Superiore wine producing area; more precisely, in the sub-zones known as "Valgella" and "Sassella".

We currently produce about 3100 bottles a year but in two-three years time they will be about 5.500 bottles. This is due to the fact that a part of our vineyards have been planted recently.

We can label our wine using the denomination of origin "Valtellina Superiore" D.O.C.G. because, according to the law (disciplinare di produzione), we vinify grapes grown in two different sub-zones (Valgella and Sassella) of the Valtellina Superiore wine production area.

We are dedicated to producing fine wines strictly connected with the geographic territory (Valtellina valley). Moreover, we try to highlight the terroir's features and the peculiarities of each vintage.

In the years when the climate conditions are not good enough to produce a Valtellina Superiore D.O.C.G. wine which reach our standards, we release it labelling the wine with the lower denomination of origin "Rosso di Valtellina" D.O.C.
