In the wine-district area of the Valtellina, fine red wines are produced. The Valtellina wines are well structured, full bodied and capable to stand long ageing periods.
You can find the following denominations of origin:

• Valtellina Superiore DOCG
• Valtellina Superiore DOCG (with the sub-zones Valgella, Inferno, Sassella, Grumello, Maroggia)
• Rosso di Valtellina DOC
• Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG
• Terrazze Retiche di Sondrio IGT
